Osho Meditations

Serendipity Institute is authorized as an Osho Institute, by Osho International Meditation Resort in Pune of India. Also, its facilitators are well educated and trained to facilitate all the Osho meditations and therapies.

Who is Osho?

Osho started his career as a philosophy professor in India. He had deep knowledge and understanding of all philosophical movements, wide experience in meditation and a strong belief in science. Being someone who trusted enormously in human potential and realizing soon enough that the human kind will have to evolve in order to survive, he developed new meditation techniques based on scientific methods and the standards of life today.

Osho’s work was inspired by a vision that combines the wisdom of the East with the high potential of Western science and technology.
As base for his experiments he created an International Resort in India. This space provided a safe and organized environment for his trainees who participated in his experimentations.

What is his work about?

When Osho passed away he left behind two “tools” for the “restless” people of the future, all of us seeking for the truth behind the phenomena; his speeches and the meditation techniques.

His speeches were transcribed shortly after his parting and became books. Furthermore, some of his speeches which were videotaped, they were released on video, easily accessible due to the development of technology and especially the internet.

During this procedure it was “mislaid” the fact that Osho never wrote a book!

Especially during the last years of his life, his speeches took place in his Ashram in Pune of India, exclusively before the evening meditation. As he had clarified to his students this was a new kind of meditation he had found which led to the evening meditation. The way he spoke, the tone of his voice, the intermissions of silence he made were the most important parts of his speech. All these elements functioned as tools so as the listeners could come in touch with meditation.

Osho’s meditation techniques are the outcome of systematic study and experimentation of many people for decades, conducted by Osho himself. These techniques are based on deep knowledge of many different traditional ways combined with the new scientific ways and the new needs of modern man. The result of this long and arduous study was for Osho to create something entirely innovative the world had not seen for thousands of years; techniques that take into consideration the modern way of life and show to modern man how to come in touch with himself.
